Puppy Enquiry

Interested in one of our pups?

We have outlined the puppy purchasing process for you below to help you understand how it works.  Please also take the time to fill in the form to let us know more about you and your lifestyle so we can ensure we match the right pup to you!

Most Hallmark Pups are sold before they are born, we do not advertise apart from on our website which is more about keeping interested parties up to date.  It is all through people meeting our oodles out and about and deciding they are right for them.  In 2012 so far 75% of pups have been sold before they were born and the remaining pups have sold within 48hrs of being born, most within just a few hours.

So with this in mind we do not want you to miss out.  First thing is to establish when you want a pup, once you have a time frame worked out then watch the website for upcoming litters.

Email and register your interest in a litter that is upcoming so we can chat to you and ensure you have choosen the right type of oodle.

Once the Pregnancy is confirmed we will take deposits on that litter.  Deposits are $300 and non refundable so only place a deposit if you are sure you want a pup from that litter.

We scan the girls at 55days to determine how many pups she has and then let the waiting list people know, normally there are more people waiting than pups.

Once the pups are born we contact the people that have reserve a pup by placing a deposit first.

We let you know what sexes and colours have arrived and if you are specifically wanting a chocolate girl and there is only one then we put her aside for you.

Once those families have been notified we contact the wait list people to let them know what is still available, generally all the rest of the pups will be spoken for at this time.

At this stage pups are reserved on sex and colour only.  If there are 4 black boys then the 4 families that are wanting black boys will get to choose between them when the pups are about 6weeks old,  but before that there is no way of telling them apart.  If you have reserved a gold girl and there is only one, then the choosing is easy but if there are 2, 3, or more then you can choose which specific puppy you want as they mature and differences between them become aparent.

We have pup viewings at 2,4,6 and 8 weeks old so you can meet and bond with your pup, meet its parents and chat to me preparing yourselves for taking home puppy.

At 8weeks of age your pup is ready to go home with you, he will have been wormed at 2,4,6 and 8weeks.  Recieved a revolution flea treatment at 7weeks, due monthly from then on.  A full vet check and first vaccination.  He comes with some helpful information to get you started, a 1.5kg bag of super premium ADVANCE puppy food that he has been raised on and a snuggly toy that has been with the litter for the past week to comfort him in new surroundings.

We are on hand to answer all your questions via email and facebook as you settle him in and look forward to hearing all the stories of how things are going for you.

This is pretty much the process, hope it is helpful...talk to you soon

Purchasing a Pup?

How does it work?

So you have decided you want a spoodle or Cavoodle, what next?

Check the newborn Nursery Page and the Expected Litters Page.  See if there are any pups in the Nursery or coming up, check the timing that it will fit in with your plans and that you can be available to settle a new pup into your home and lives.

Email me and let me know that you are ready for a new addition, tell me a bit about yourself and the home you have to offer the pup and then I can let you know what we have available.  Please be aware that our pups normally sell at  a very young age and often there are deposits on puppies from expected litters before they are born.  If you can see a litter coming up and know that the timing will be just right for you and you are certain you want a pup from that litter this option is open to you as well, you can place a deposit on an unborn litter to ensure you get to select a puppy from that litter.

So once you have put your non refundable deposit on your pup, born or unborn, you will also have filled out a pup contract, signed it and sent it back to us here.

This ensures you 'A' pup from that litter, not the specific puppy.  When they are born if you have indicated you would like a gold girl for example and there is only one gold girl in the litter then there is no choosing and it is simple from here on in, that is your pup, congratulations.

However if there are 3 or 4 Gold Girls then one of them will be yours but assuming there is no distingushing markings to tell them apart, choosing WHICH of the pups dosent need to happen until they are 4, 6 or even 8weeks old.

If you are in Auckland we have viewing days at aprox 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks of age, this way you get to see all the main changes that happen as pup grows, eyes opening, just walking, learning to play and bark and then ready to go home.

If you are out of Auckland then I post picture of the website fortnightly for you to see them as they grow.  PLEASE dont stress out when they are only 2 and 4weeks old wanting to see photos of YOUR actual pup when they are one of 4 gold girls or similar, yours is one of them, but not one specifically at that time, there is nothing to select on and it is crazy to need to see pictures of YOUR pup when the photos in 2 weeks time are most likely a different one anyway, at that age it is too hard to tell them apart.

Also dont judge your pups too harshly based on photos, they go through SO many changes in the weeks up till they leave us and they wont always be the cute bundle of fur that you have your heart set on, never fear by 8weeks that is excatly what they will be!

Normally when pups are 6-7weeks of age I will email you some reading to prepare yourselves and home for a new pup arriving, also around this time the pups go for their first full vet health check and vaccination.

The pups are wormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks and they are treated with Revolution for fleas at 8weeks before they leave us, this is as a preventitive only.

At 6 or 7weeks its a good idea to either purchase a soft puppy toy from us to be put in with the litter till they go home or bring a blanket or toy from home to be left with the pups.  It will be a bit smelly by the time you take it home with the pup at 8weeks but that is the point, it becomes something common to them and helps them adjust to the change of environment.

Please feel free to ask us any questions whenever you need, this process is new for most of you and we understand that so take your time and dont feel bad asking.  Thats what we are here for, email is best for this.

Hope this helps.
